Product details
The cactus is a flowering plant of the family Cactaceae, native to the Americas, with about 600 species. The word "cactus" is derived from the Nahuatl word tlaxcalli which means "prickly pear". The plants are characterized by their succulent stem, usually bearing spines or spines-like structures. The most common type of cactus is the columnar cactus, which has upright and roughly cylindrical, jointed stems that are typically from 10–80 cm tall and 4–30 cm in diameter. The leaves are produced from an underground stem, or "rhipidophyll" in the case of the cacti family. Most species are perennial, with some evergreen species and a few deciduous species. The flowers are white, pink, red, purple, or yellow and are borne on a long, thin stalk called a peduncle. They are produced in clusters near the top of the plant. The flowers have 3 sepals, 3 petals, 3 stamens, and 3 carpels. The fruit is a capsule containing numerous seeds. Cactus Mammillaria Plant is a type of cactus that has leaves that grow from an underground stem and produce flowers and fruits on a long, thin stalk called a peduncle. The flowers are typically white, pink, red, purple, or yellow and are produced in clusters near the top of the plant.
